The Insurance Alliance of Central PA is proud to welcome The Stoll Agency, Inc., based in Chalfont, PA, as its newest member.
Formed in 1957, The Stoll Agency has ten employees, and operates in a marketing territory that includes Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, with specialties in construction and bonding.
According to Jane Koppenheffer, CPCU, The Alliance’s President and CEO, “Peter Stoll and Mary Stoll Walter (brother and sister) are co-owners of this 3rd generation agency that was started by their grandfather in 1957. They have specialized in heavy construction and surety, and we are glad that they will be adding that expertise to The Alliance. The agency has strong roots within its community and is poised to grow for the future. The agency is noted for its professionalism, integrity, and client focus. These values are a great match with those of The Alliance, and we are excited to have them joining us as our tenth member.”

Miers Insurance is celebrating their 125th anniversary in 2017.
Established on February 29th 1892, employee owned, and continuously located in the City of Allentown, Miers Insurance provides Insurance Brokerage and Risk Management Services for businesses, municipalities and institutions, as well as individuals and families throughout the Lehigh Valley, Eastern Pennsylvania & NJ.
As a member of The Insurance Alliance of Central Pennsylvania, Inc., Miers Insurance represents over seventy-five major insurance companies and has working relationships with international insurance brokerage firms throughout the world. The firm employs eighteen in its offices located at 2222 South Twelfth Street, Allentown.
The Insurance Alliance’s annual Accelerations Awards Luncheon was held on January 19th to recognize the winners of the 2016 version of the Alliance’s sales contest. Attending were The Alliance’s Board members, the monthly winners of the contest, as well as Chuck Adams and Katie Kauffman, representing Accellerations’ Platinum Sponsor, Selective Insurance.

The Paul I. Sheaffer Insurance Agency is pleased to announce the offering of risk management services to our commercial lines policyholders. Daniel Stoltzfus, Risk Manager, is available to our clients. Dan is a local Lancaster County native from Gap, PA with a degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health.
Risk management services available include:
- OSHA 10 and 30 hour training
- OSHA inspection records
- Subcontract review
- Safety programs
- Training record tracking
Management in preventing/minimizing losses will benefit clients by helping to focus on reducing accidents, loss of employee services, possible lawsuits, and monetary losses, both direct and indirect ones. Dan will be working in cooperation with our insurance carriers’ risk management staff.
After serving as Office Manager for The Insurance Alliance of Central PA for 19 years, Marsha Patterson will be retiring effective December 30, 2016.
Following The Alliance’s Board Meeting in November, Board members, friends, and members of Marsha’s family, as well as The Alliance’s first President, Ken Lloyd, were able to successfully surprise her at a luncheon in her honor at the West Shore Country Club. Video tributes were provided by several Alliance carrier executives and some of Marsha’s family who could not attend, including her son stationed in Germany.
